Celebrating One of the Largest Animal Lifesaving Communities in the Nation!

BuildASign.com & Austin Animal Center have come together to organize an event celebrating Austin’s fifth year as the nation’s largest animal life saving community. The event borrows its name and overall theme from the movie Best in Show, adopting a lighthearted quirky tone that keeps Austin weird. The goal is to raise funds and increase awareness for Austin’s nonprofit welfare community and the services it provides. The event kicks off on April 1st with an online fundraising competition where participants can create individual fundraising pages. (Create yours here!) The competition will culminate with a family and pet friendly festival on May 7th at Austin Animal Center!
This festival is free, open to the public and welcomes families and pets alike! The focal point of the festival is a dog show featuring the top online fundraisers, allowing them to further compete with their dogs for titles like Parent-Pup Look-A-Like and Best Trick. Top fundraisers with cats are invited to participate in the cat video competition shown after the dog show. The festival will also include live entertainment, vendors, activity stations and chances to get involved with animal welfare nonprofits from around the city!
